Custom Order FAQs
Q1: How far in advance should I place my custom order?
We recommend placing orders for custom suits and unstitched tailoring at least 3 to 4 weeks prior to your event. For heavy occasion and trousseau pieces, a lead time of 8 to 10 weeks ensures ample time for artisanal handwork, finishing, and trial fittings.
Q2: Can I get my outfit customized if I am not able to visit the studio in person?
Yes. We work with clients remotely via scheduled video/WhatsApp consultations. Once the silhouette and fabric are finalized, we provide our detailed measurement chart and guide you through taking accurate measurements from home.
Q3: Can I send my own fabric to Hairat for custom stitching?
We offer custom design and tailoring both with our curated in-house fabrics and unstitched suit sets. If you have your own fabric you would like tailored into a signature Hairat silhouette, please select "Unstitched Fabric Tailoring" on the form so we can discuss feasibility.
Q4: What is the payment policy for made-to-order and bespoke garments?
Because custom garments are cut, dyed, and stitched specifically to your measurements, we require a 60% advance deposit to begin production. The remaining 40% balance is payable upon garment completion, prior to dispatch or collection.
Q5: What happens if the outfit requires alterations?
Every custom piece includes two complimentary alterations within 15 days of delivery or in-studio trial to ensure your outfit fits seamlessly. Please note that because bespoke outfits are tailored to personal specifications, custom orders are non-refundable and cannot be returned once fabric cutting has begun.
